An information graphic depicting a personal story, in this case the life and death of my 1986 Camry (may she rest in peace). The chart compares the declining blue book value of the car with the increasing amount of money spent on repairs during my 10 years of ownership. The graphic is also labeled with anectodal information about the car's history. My car was working just fine when I started this project, but towards the end it required a particular repair that, given my new familiarity with the total sum of money spent on the car, I was unable to convince myself to make. It also happened to be the same as my very first repair to the car. While the death of my car was a personally upsetting event, it also conveniently resulted in a very satisfying narrative for the info-graphic.
